This was a redesign of a static HTML site with over 200 pages; some of them several years old. The site owner needed to be able to add/edit content - especially data tables - quickly and easily from a browser window. A custom design was ported into MODx templates, then the existing content was reformatted and inserted into the templates. The site was developed with ADSL users in mind, so very few images were used in the templates. The layout is flexible and em-based. The site makes extensive use of Wayfinder menus, including one in a public page that automatically echoes a list (without links) of the private members-only area content so that prospective members may see what is available to those who join the genealogical society.
